A weekend with the great grandparents

The great grandparents were kind enough to watch Cohen this weekend. But I pretty confident they didn't mind. The picture above is of gg Barb reading Cohen his Bible stories before bed time. Cohen already loves books as you can tell by the serious/concentrated face.

Earlier that day, we took Cohen on his first trip around lake Harriot with Carly and Victor. Beautiful day, but super windy!

Reading at Nana's

This is what happens when I send Cohen over to Nana's for a few hours. Can't say that I'm surprised. This is totally something my mom would do and I always knew he was ahead of the game.

Mother's Day Weekend

This weekend we took Cohen up to his great grandparent's house for the first time for Mother's day. After many attempts to capture "the perfect family shot", this pictures was voted the best out of many. Any mother of an infant knows how hard it is to get a smile without the fingers in the mouth! So, with dad pinning his hands down; I think we got a keeper.

Best Friends

Hilton Head

So this year for our winter vacation we took Cohen to Hilton Head Island, SC. We went at the beginning of April and had a fabulous time. Lucky for us, my parents, sister and brother also came with. The trip was especially fun because of all the "firsts." First plane ride, trip to the beach, and swim in the pool. We had a total of 4 flights there and back and it is no exaggeration that he was perfect. Everyone commented on what a good baby he was. I couldn't be prouder!

I love love this picture of him with his tiny foot sticking out. He loved to take naps and hang out with the family by the pool. Clearly taking it easy from his hectic schedule at home.

Cohen did really well in the pool. He loves to take baths, so I figured the pool would be an easy transition...and it was. I wish I had taken a close-up of his face. He took this experience very seriously and carefully observed all the other children in the pool.

Farmer's Market

Brandon and I decided to take Cohen out today on his first outing to the Minneapolis Farmer's Market. I needed some flowers for the patio and Brandon wanted a bratwurst for lunch. Seemed like a win-win. Today was also a big day because Cohen got to sit in his stroller like a big boy without his car seat. I'm pretty sure he thought it was the greatest thing since he had such a content look on his face the entire time. It was pretty windy out, so we wanted to make sure he was warm. Thus, the peeping eyes behind the mound of blankets. Normally with the car seat/stroller combo he wants out almost immediately after we arrive to our destination. Big Day!

All dressed and ready for an afternoon downtown

Welcome!

Against my initial thoughts toward blogging, I have decided to start. Mostly to keep my family and friends updated on the new life of our little munchkin. He is the love of our life and I am looking forward to sharing all things Cohen with you. Enjoy!
